AP Courses
Note: Blake High School requires a minimum of 20 students to sign up for an AP class. Although the Blake H.S. web site states that 22 AP courses are available, some AP classes have been canceled or only given every other year, due to low student registration or faculty restraints.
AP tests are usually given off-site in May; check the Blake High School Calendar for the AP Test schedule.
A Fee Waiver form for those unable to pay for the AP tests, is available from the Blake main office.
• General Info on AP: College Board About AP page
• Accommodations: Information on accommodations for students taking the AP test
• Online AP courses: AP courses online are available through Montgomery County Public Schools. See the Maryland Virtual School (MVS) Online Courses web page.

HEALTH EDUCATION
• Take 15 for the Health of It! is a statewide initiative designed to help Maryland families develop strategies for healthy living.
• The National PTA offers a Healthy Lifestyles web site, which provides and links to information on child health, nutrition, physical activity and wellness. Parent guides and fact sheets also are available there.
