The next 11th Grade Parent-to-Parent meeting is on Thursday, January 28th, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the amphitheatre.
 
Mr. DuBoyce will present information about the upcoming Fall registration, the February 26th ACT/SAT opportunity, summer school, the May AP schedule, and more.  There’ll be time for questions and answers to keep you in the loop as well as a chance to provide input for topics at our April meeting.

“Potluck and a Project”

NAACP Parents’ Council December  Meeting
Wednesday, December 16th
6:30 – 8:00 p.m. - Blake HS,  Cafeteria

In the spirit of the holiday season, please join us for the NAACP Parents’ Council Meeting on December 16th as we share with those who are less fortunate.  We will be having a Pot Luck dinner and would ask families to bring a dish to share – main course, sides, and/or desserts.

In addition, we are asking families to bring items to donate to the Greentree Shelter, a transitional home for homeless families, primarily children with single mothers, that provides the basic support systems necessary for families to rebuild their lives.

Blake PTSA organizes and supports Parent Peer Groups, which meet a few times a year for each grade level. At the meetings, parents come together with a parent leader and a school administrator to discuss how best to support their students. The meetings also offer parents an opportunity to ask questions and to network with other parents. Meeting topics and times are announced on Eubiemail and this web site.

To the Parents/Guardians of 9th Grade Students

If you are confused by the maze of High School acronyms and requirements you are not alone!   Come to the 9th grade parent/guardian meeting on Tuesday, October 13th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Blake amphitheater.   We’ll talk about PSAT, HSA, SSL, PE, ODD DAYS, EVEN DAYS and more.

This will be a great opportunity to meet with other 9th grade parents/guardians and Mr. Chris Berry, the 9th grade administrator, to discuss topics related to your 9th grader.

To the Parents/Guardians of 10th Grade Students:

Please join us at our first 10th grade parent/guardian meeting on Tuesday, October 6th from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Blake amphitheater! It’s an opportunity to meet with other 10th grade parents/guardians and Ms. Beth Thomas, the 10th grade administrator to discuss topics related to the Class of 2012.

Our first meeting will include information about the upcoming PSAT exam as well as an open forum to discuss any questions/topics of interest and plan for future meetings.

Attention 11th Grade Parents

We’ll have our first Parent-to-Parent meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 30th, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the amphitheatre.

Mr. DuBoyce will present basic rules and policies, credit issues and information related to High School Assessments for graduation. Ms. Martin will present information related to the PSAT and SAT/ACT preparation.
