Help Wanted! PTSA Open Positions for 2010-2011
Consider volunteering for a leadership position in the PTSA. If you don’t have experience, we’ll show you the ropes!
OPEN POSITIONS
• President or Co-Presidents
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
If you are not ready to be a PTSA officer, consider being a committee chairperson. As a member of the PTSA leadership team, you can:
· Make decisions that help enhance your student’s school experience
· Support communications between Blake and the parent community
· Organize activities that support student achievement and family fun
· Meet new and veteran parents in the school community
· Be “In the Know” about the many facets of Blake
Help Blake continue to be a leader in the school community. We have a higher PTSA membership than other schools in the NEC.
The next PTSA meeting will be held on Tuesday April 20, at 7:00 p.m. A slate of nominees for officer positions will be presented, and nominations can be made from the floor. We must fill the officer positions for the PTSA, and so the nominating committee is hard at work trying to identify parents willing to take on leadership positions at Blake. Please step up and volunteer for an officer position.
If interested in a position or knowing more about a position, contact Beth Blevins at vp@blakeptsa.org, or other members of the nominating committee:

f you are not ready to be a PTSA officer, consider being a committee chairperson, especially if you have worked with the committee before, and even if you have not. We also have a real need for many Committee Chairpersons.
For a list of PTSA committees and activities, see the PTSA Committees website.
Please consider becoming a committee chair for next school year. Step up and get involved!
